These materials are stocked in a number of different alloys to current BS EN Standards such as:

• BS EN 12164 – Copper and copper alloys. Rod for free machining purposes
• BS EN 1172 – Copper and copper alloys. Sheet and strip for building purposes
• BS EN 1653 – Copper and copper alloys. Plate, sheet and circles for boilers, pressure vessels and hot water storage units
• BS EN 1654 – Copper and copper alloys. Strip for springs and connectors

The above standards cover a variety of material specifications and alloys. The various different material grades are designed to offer manufactures a range of different properties such as ease of machining rods and hexagons, formability in the case of hot forging rods and rolling in the case of brass strips.
